My Promise to You

MY PROMISE TO YOU

I can't assure you
that the dark clouds
will never gather
over our lives
or that the time
will bring us many rainbows.
I can't promise you that
the tomorrow will be powerful
I can't promise you
That tomorrow
will be perfect
or that the life will be simple
I can promise you
My everlasting devotion
My respect, my loyalty
I can promise that
I will always be here for you
to listen and to hold your hand
I can promise
I will see you through any crisis,
and pray with you,
dream with you,
build with you,
and always cheer on you
and encourage you
you are my love, my life
I can promise you,
that i will be your doctor when you are ill
your army when you go to war
I promise you that
there will never be a night
where you are not the subject of my
final prayer and the keeper
of my my dreams.
I promise to love you always.

The Silliest Teacher in School

Our teacher gave detention to the fountains in the hall. She handed extra homework to the artwork on the wall.   We saw her point a finger at a banner and a sign. She said their bad behavior was completely out of line.   The principal approached her and said, “What is all this fuss? I heard you tried to punish all the tires on a bus.   “You’ve made the teachers angry by disrupting all their classes, so if you want to keep this job, you have to wear your glasses!”   By Darren Sardelli source: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/145940/the-silliest-teacher-in-school
